Angel Peak Scenic Area and Arches near Bloomfield, NM
I really wanted to see the Lybrook Badlands because I have seen spectacular pictures of hoodoos that were taken there. Unfortunately, the area is hard to find and the roads are bad. We had to turn back because the roads were too difficult, even with all wheel drive. From gas exploration and drilling, the roads in that area are a maze. I believe there are plans to make a park that will make access easier.
