Bonavista, Newfoundland

Cape Bonavista Lighthouse was built between 1841 and 1843. It’s light was fueled with seal oil until 1883. After 1883, kerosene was used until it became electric in 1962.

Dungeon Provincial Park near the light house has sea arches and sea stacks; horses and cows graze on the pasture in the park.

At nearby Elliston, you can take pictures of puffins from less than 100 feet.
