Highway One – Carmel (Pebble Beach, Monterey) to Morro Bay
California State Route 1 is a scenic highway that hugs the coast all the way from San Franciso to LA. The portion we traveled covers Big Sur and part of the Central Coast and Monterey Bay areas of California. The route along the sea cliffs is winding and narrow in parts and requires some attention while driving. It rewards you with gorgeous views and the opportunity to see some aquatic wildlife.
