Massachusetts to South Carolina
After a very tough winter (8 feet of snow), a warmer climate was on my mind. There was still snow on the lawn one day before I left and there were no leaves on the trees. I went from Massachusetts to New Jersey to Delaware to North Carolina to South Carolina. There were no leaves in New Jersey but by the time I got to Delaware, the trees were in full coverage. I was looking forward to meeting my nephew Scott in Greenville, SC.
Greenville is fabulous. Downtown is pedestrian friendly and gastronomically diverse with many non-chain restaurants. Parking is easy to find and there is a nice mixture of pleasant architecture and the buildings are not too tall. Restaurants were thriving at 8 o’clock p.m. on a Thursday night. The parks have sculpted naturalistic gardens with many flowers. Right downtown there is a suspension bridge overlooking some beautiful falls. Scott told me there are miles of paths with lots of flowering plants.
