Rio Grande Gorge

After Carlsbad, I drove up to Santa Rosa, NM and dropped off the Aliner at a camp ground. I swung over to Albuquerque and picked up my brother, Larry, and we spend the night at Santa Rosa. The next day we went north to stay at the Big Arsenic Springs Campground in the Wild Rivers Recreation Area which is part of the Rio Grande Del Norte National Monument. The campground is maintained by BLM (Bureau of Land Management). There was no electricity but there was a picnic table and a roof; for $7 for two nights, it was hard to beat.
