Awning

I didn’t like the awnings I have seen on Aframes so I decided to make my own. I wanted a large flat surface and a reasonably quick assembly time. I attached one U channel permanently to the existing wind lift tubing and created a separate piece of square tubing on the right side with another U channel. The 7′ by 7′ square tarp is bordered by tubing and is hung from the U channels. The vertical poles were created from extendable paint poles (extendable 6′ to 9′). They are attached to the tarp at the top and the bottoms of the poles are inserted into sockets that are inserted into hardware bolted to the camper floor.
